Abstract: The world is changing, and so are the requirements to education. New teaching methods appear to better satisfy the needs of modern times. Abstract: The article presents the results of the practice of investment planning in Russia that confirm the need to increase the amount of investment should be stepped up in certain areas and identify funding sources with maximum efficiency. The relevance of the research topic due to the lack of adequate methods of calculation of yield, methods for determining the priority criteria and effective mechanisms of investment project implementation, as well as the failure of accounting and analytical system of the enterprise to provide complete and accurate information for the decision-making process regarding investments. The research methodology is the study and generalization of methods of evaluation of investment projects in Russia, taking into account the peculiarities of historical development of society and economic structure. The main result of the study is to determine the advantages and disadvantages of the existing foreign methods of investment calculation in order to apply them in the economic activities of domestic enterprises under certain conditions and limitations specific situation.
