This will help to find out the most suitable and useful way for government to coexist with economy and answer the question: What kind of governmental regulation does economy need, and does it need it at all?

Oil and Gas industry risk identification

Abstract: This paper is a compilation of information that give a general picture of the current situation of Russian oil and gas industry. The risk identification of the Russian oil and gas sector is complicated by statistical peculiarities and information asymmetry. The four major groups of risks have been identified for this sector, adding up to 10 risks overall. The aim of this paper is to analyze the current state of the oil and gas industry of Russia in the conditions of falling oil prices and sanctions policy. The research methodology is based on a systematic approach to assessing the state of the oil and gas industry of Russia.

Finance of Russian oil and gas companies and the impact of its basic financial indices on the development of the Russian Federation

Abstract: The article presents the results of the analysis of the Russian oil and gas industry functioning and its features. The study of the main companies and the fundamental peculiarities of their performance - the environment, organizational potential, corporate management, capital management, social and economic performance - were carried out. The analysis was performed using the following methods and indicators - a vertical and horizontal analysis of export and profitability indicators, profitability ratios, EBITD, net profit (loss), the ratio of total debt to EBIT. The results of the investigation can be used in the development and implementation of effective policies for managing the financial assets of oil and gas companies to have a positive impact on the development of the Russian economy.

Abstract: The Russian rouble is a non-convertible currency. The problem of convertibility has been under examination with the Russian government and the Bank of Russia for twenty years now. Being unsound, it makes labour inefficient and does not improve poverty rate. Russia is currently in search of a functional economic policy and development strategy. Its weak analytical framework for Presidential Research-funding Programme to be implemented is the major impediment in making a breakthrough. There is deficiency of trained personnel and the Command Centre for Economy and Risk Management. This input serves the purpose of drawing attention of general public, legal experts, and economists to elaboration of a gold standrad in the future.

The assessment is based on such factors as level of ease of doing business in Russia and in the subjects of the NWFD in particular, integrity indices which reflect investor protection and taxation peculiarities in the NWFD. Results of the analysis can be used for development of the strategy oriented on improvement of the investment climate of the NWFD.
