Evaluation of the effectiveness of merchandising methods

Abstract: Merchandising is an important aspect as it affects not only retailers' sales but also customer satisfaction. Since it is quite obvious that the products are shown by the manufacturers through advertising to attract more attention among the buyers and when the purchase seems available to them, they carry it out and thus this increases satisfaction, which, moreover, leads to a good sale. Inappropriate product display has a negative impact on retailer sales and also causes serious customer dissatisfaction while shopping.The article examined the organization of the system and the evaluation of the effectiveness of merchandising in the Auchan retail store, after which the main advantages and disadvantages were highlighted.Of the identified shortcomings for their correction, recommendations were proposed to improve the optimization of merchandising in the Auchan retail store. The main recommendation is to use the retail space and use the vacated space for the online order picking area in order to be competitive in the retailer market, as well as follow the trends of recent years to optimize the online sales system to increase sales and increase the profit of the organization
